Why is some information different than what I remember or see from another source?
This is most likely due to the fact that I am currently using what is in the media guides which in most/all cases were published before the season began, and possibly before some players were even on campus. Therefore, any changes during preseason practices, or even after the season began may not be reflected.
Home towns and high school information will sometimes change from season to season for a given player, but I almost always use the data from their first season. You could assume that it has been corrected in later seasons, but without confirmation and the time to research (which might only confuse the situation), it is hard to make that change.
Can't find your name or the name of a friend or relative?
This database was originally based on the letterwinner list from the 2000 media guide. That was updated with letterwinner lists from subsequent media guides until I began entering the complete rosters from the (preseason) media guides dating back to 1950. If a player isn't listed, they still could have been on the team, but didn't appear on the roster until after the season started or after they recorded a stat in a game.
If you have a verifiable source (game program, game day roster from a newspaper, etc.), please contact me and I will be glad to look into adding the player in question. Similarly, if you have some information about a player that is missing or conflicts with what I have, feel free to send it as well, although this may be harder for me to verify.
