(Legacy.com) Mariee Mena, 26, of San Diego, California, residing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was born August 22, 1983 in Heidelberg, Germany, to Adam and Isela Mena. On October 6, 2009, Mariee Mena departed this world with her heavenly Father in Norman, Oklahoma. Mariee graduated from Escondido High School, Escondido, California. She then attended the University of Oklahoma on a softball scholarship from 2003-2007. She was a member of the Sooner's 2003 and 2004 Women's College World Series Teams. Mariee was also a member of the 2007 Big 12 Championship Team and in the same year was honored as the USA Softball and NFCA National Player of the week. Mariee had coaching stints at both Purcell and Norman High School and was currently coaching the 18 Under Gold Oklahoma Ultimate Softball Team. At the time of her passing, she was employed with the Putnam City School District, working as a teacher's assistant at Window Hill Elementary.
